Chris Smith Racing, based in Braselton, Ga., not far from Road Atlanta, has a combined 20-plus years of racing experience, much of it in the professional sports car ranks. The team was founded on the principle of providing clients with one-of-a-kind service.

Team owner Chris Smith began his career at the age of 14, working on late model stock cars on short tracks around the Southeast. After college and working as a master technician for a large volume import repair shop in Atlanta, Smith began concentrating on the racing industry fulltime.

After working with some of the top teams in the U.S., including those who compete in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, the American Le Mans Series and SCCA World Challenge, Smith followed his dream of owning and opening his own professional motorsports company. This season will be the first for Chris Smith Racing in ITC.

Bob Schneider of Prospect, Ky., will compete for Chris Smith Racing to start the 2012 ITC season.
